Hipsters are everywhere…even on Middle Earth it seems. Check out these hipsterized Lord of the Rings illustrations by Noelle Stevenson, an illustration major at Maryland Institute College of Art.
Found the images here but you can also check out her delightful blog. :)
Love webcomics? Check out the recently completed serialized webcomic by Pat Grant entitled Blue.
We find Nicolas Dehghani’s work interesting.

Shaun Tan is one of our favorite artists here at InK. His wordless graphic novel “The Arrival” is a gem and a must have for any fan of the picture book while the short animated film “The Lost Thing” based on his book of the same name is a must see.
Here’s a nice little interview conducted by Der Spiegel wherein he answers questions with drawings.
And, here’s more Shaun Tan goodness at his website: http://www.shauntan.net/
Since we’re on the subject of illustration duos, here’s another hot illustration duo: Kozyndan (that’s Kozy & Dan for you). Working in pencil, digital and gouache, Kozyndan create insane “panoramics” - large scale landscaped artworks that circles upon itself (better seen than explained, but the above photoset shows details of one of their panoramics).
Their works have been featured in various books, publications and consumer products. Most notable of which is their collaboration with Puma for their own line of clothing and shoes.
See more of their work here.
We think of illustration as a solitary activity. But Olga Dugina and Andrej Dugin are a different breed. Accomplished in their own works, they nevertheless come together to create beautiful and delicately textured and detailed artworks.
It’s a pity their books aren’t as readily available here in the Philippines. Well, except for the Adventures of Abdi (written by Madonna), which can be found at National or at Book Sale. :D
See some of their other works here.
